Explosion at military base in Cambodia, 20 soldiers killed

An explosion occurred in an ammunition warehouse at a military base in Cambodia. At least 20 soldiers were killed. Several others were injured.

According to a report by NDTV, the explosion occurred at a military base in the western part of the Southeast Asian country on Saturday (April 27) afternoon.

Prime Minister Hun Manet confirmed the explosion. In a post published on Facebook, Hun Manet said, We are deeply shocked. An explosion occurred at a military base in Cambodia’s western Kampong Speu province.

Hum Manet expressed his condolences to the families of the dead soldiers and said that the funeral of the dead will be paid for.

Several pictures have spread on social media. It shows a destroyed one-story building shrouded in smoke.

The scene of taking the injured to the hospital is also shown in the film. Apart from this, the villagers are also sharing pictures of broken windows of their houses online.
