Fighters of the Al-Quds Brigade of the Palestinian resistance group Hamas have successfully attacked the Israeli army with the weapons used by Israel. Four Israeli soldiers were killed and five more were injured.

The casualties occurred on Friday (June 28) when fighters from Hamas’ Al-Quds Brigade attacked them with Israeli weapons.

Al-Quds Brigades, the armed unit of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad group, said in a statement on Friday that it had blown up a residential building booby-trapped in the Shujaye area. Four Israeli soldiers were killed and five wounded.

The statement added that they carried out the attack using improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and unexploded F-16 missiles. The F-16 missile was fired from an Israeli warplane. After it failed to explode, it was rescued by fighters.

The Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, also said they had fired anti-tank rockets and small arms at Israeli forces causing deaths and casualties.

Israel launched a new attack on the area last Thursday. Israeli forces withdrew from the area in northern Gaza in January. They then said that they had completely crushed Hamas from there.

Israel has not yet acknowledged the death of the soldiers. However, Israel said that one of its soldiers was killed and 9 wounded in the last 24 hours in the whole of Gaza.
