Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned that Hezbollah is responsible for the attack on a playground in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. He said that Hezbollah will have to pay a huge price for this.
A rocket attack on a soccer field in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights on Saturday (July 27) killed 12 people, including a child. At least 13 others were injured in the attack. The attack took place in a village called Majdal Shams. The attack came after four members of Hezbollah were killed in an Israeli attack in Lebanon. Israel claims that the Lebanon-based Hezbollah organization carried out this attack. However, Hezbollah has denied involvement in the attack.
A statement issued by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said Netanyahu told the local community leader that Israel would not go unanswered for the killings and that Hezbollah would pay a heavy price for it.
Meanwhile, Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari said several children were among the dead. And this attack was carried out by Hezbollah. There is nothing wrong with the information we have. We will not be silent by any means and will give a strong response to Hezbollah.
As soon as Israel gave this responsibility, Hezbollah denied it. In a statement, they said, some enemy media are accusing us of the attack on Majdal Shams. We categorically deny this allegation. Our armed wing, the Islamic Resistance, has nothing to do with this incident.
