Indonesia launched golden visa

Indonesia launched the “Golden Visa Program” to attract foreign investors and ease their immigration process. Indonesian President Joko Widodo launched the visa program on Thursday (July 25).

At the opening ceremony of the program in Jakarta, Widodo said that the golden visa will provide an opportunity to invest in Indonesia and increase the country’s productivity.

He said Indonesia should be a promising destination for investors. This country should be a place of work for global talent. Golden Visa will create a huge potential for the country by improving the quality of human resources.

Indonesia will give exclusive benefits to golden visa holders. These benefits include the elimination of visa application complications at immigration offices, time limits of stay, entry and exit procedures, and immigration offices.

It has been informed that this special visa will be given to foreign investors, businessmen, talents and certain foreign tourists. Foreign investors who meet certain investment criteria can obtain a residence permit in Indonesia for five to 10 years through the Golden Visa program.

Emphasizing the importance of careful selection of golden visa applicants, Widodo said that only those who are proven to contribute to the country will get this special visa. State security and national interest will be given utmost consideration in the selection process.
