Hezbollah, an Iranian-backed Lebanese armed group, has claimed an attack on an Israeli military base. They claimed that 20 rockets and missiles were fired at the headquarters of the Sahel Battalion of the 769th Brigade of the Israeli military.
The Israeli military confirmed this information in a statement on Saturday (May 25).
Al Jazeera reported in a report that about 20 rockets hit southern Lebanon in the Upper Galilee area of northern Israel.
The Israeli military said that signs of multiple rocket attacks were detected in Israel’s Dovev and Manara areas. Several areas of Israel have been affected by this. However, no casualty was reported in this attack.
They also said that Israel carried out several airstrikes in South Lebanon’s Twaneh and Ramieh areas as a counter-attack. At this time, they attacked several military structures of the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah. They also attacked Hezbollah bases in Yarun area of the country and Hezbollah members in Hanain area.
Incidentally, more than four hundred people have been killed in cross-border violence in Lebanon in seven months. On the other hand, Israel said that 14 soldiers and 10 civilians were killed in the border area in the attack launched from Lebanon. Hundreds of thousands of people have been displaced on both sides in the retaliatory attack.
Hezbollah says it is retaliating against Israel to support its ally Hamas and attack Lebanon.
