How Israel brutally tortures the detained Palestinian people

A freed Palestinian, who did not want to be named, described his bitter experience. He said he was abducted by Israeli forces from a school in Gaza. He was then handcuffed and blindfolded. After that he was kept in a metal cage for 42 consecutive days. There he was given an electric shock. Israel’s ferocious soldiers did not stop there. He was also scratched and bitten by dogs. Many other men also said they were treated the same way.

They were not even given food or water. Moaz Muhammad Khamis Miqdad was captured in December in Gaza City and held for more than 30 days.

He said, the Israeli forces did not spare anyone. From a 14-year-old boy to an 80-year-old man, everyone was tortured.

Another freed man told Middle East Eye that he was blindfolded and stripped naked during interrogation. He was beaten repeatedly and cigarette lighters were repeatedly lit on his body. He also described being held frozen for days. Where he was not allowed to sleep. After asking for water, he was given a bottle filled with soldiers’ urine. When asked about Hamas tunnels where Israeli soldiers tortured prisoners, they replied ‘I don’t know’. Talked to several such ex-prisoners. who described similar experiences.

On Friday, Alice Jill Edwards, the UN special rapporteur on torture, said she was investigating allegations of Israeli torture and ill-treatment of Palestinian prisoners.

Israeli soldiers beat and humiliated doctors after raiding hospitals in the Gaza Strip, the BBC reported on Tuesday. Doctors told the BBC they were blindfolded and beaten repeatedly by soldiers after a raid on the hospital last month.

Ahmed Abu Saba, a doctor at Nasser Hospital, described his detention for a week. He said a dog had attacked him. Then an Israeli soldier broke one of his hands. The BBC sent details of the doctors’ complaints to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). However, the IDF did not directly respond to the matter.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the construction of prisons in Israel to hold thousands more Palestinians. He gave this order in a meeting with the representatives of the Ministry of Defence, National Security and Finance on Sunday. Kaddoura Fares, a Palestinian prisoner and former head of the Prisoner Affairs Commission, condemned Netanyahu’s decision.
