Naturally, the issue of the river is important because of India’s friendly relationship with Bangladesh. Many rivers flow through the two countries. And one of them is Teesta. So the issue of Teesta is also very important.

Why India’s move is important in view of Beijing’s proposal – The officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that India’s announcement about the Bangladesh government’s long-planned dredging and development of the Teesta is very important. New Delhi has expressed concern to Dhaka about the project being referred to the Chinese company.

Sheikh Hasina will be free from pressure on India’s announcement: Prime Minister Hasina may visit China next month. According to the concerned circles, the Prime Minister will be able to remove the pressure that China was trying to create with the Teesta project as a result of India’s announcement. He can be very open.
