Instructions issued to all schools in Delhi to identify illegal Bangladeshi students

In India, politics has started again by raising the issue of Bangladeshi infiltration before the assembly elections in Delhi. This time the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has started an investigation into this matter.

All schools in Delhi, India have been instructed to find out the children of illegal Bangladeshi immigrants. At the same time, there are instructions to properly verify the identity of the students at the time of admission and take necessary steps.

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) gave this instruction in an office order on Wednesday (December 18).

This was reported by the Indian media Times of India in a report on Saturday (December 21).

Earlier, these instructions were discussed during a virtual meeting chaired by the Principal Secretary (Home), GNCTD on December 12, represented by the MCD Commissioner, Additional Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner. According to the decision, the concerned department heads and zonal authorities have been directed to take preventive measures

Furthermore, another report in the Deccan Herald said that the Public Health Department of India has been directed not to issue birth certificates to any illegal immigrants from Bangladesh.

Delhi Municipal Corporation Deputy Commissioner BP Bhardwaj said that the education department should identify illegal Bangladeshis and take steps to ensure that they are not admitted in schools under the municipality.
