Israel released the Al-Jazeera journalist after 12 hours

12 hours after the arrest, the Israeli forces released Al-Jazeera journalist Ismail Algoul. He was captured by Israeli forces during a raid on Gaza’s largest hospital on Monday. During this time he was severely beaten.

Several journalists, including Ismail Algoul, were arrested on Monday while gathering news about the occupation forces’ operation at Al-Shifa Hospital. According to eyewitnesses, they were severely beaten and taken to an unknown location.

After the arrest, the channel’s car, camera and other equipment were destroyed. However, the Israeli military did not immediately comment on the incident.

Al-Jazeera Media Network channel sent a statement to AFP on Monday. There they demanded the immediate release of journalist Ismail and those arrested with him. At the same time, it is the responsibility of the occupying forces to ensure the safety of the arrested persons.

An Al-Jazeera source spoke to AFP on condition of anonymity. He said five more camera crew and engineers were arrested along with Ismail.
