Israel has secretly approved 3,138 acres of land in the West Bank of Palestine as its own. After the Oslo Accords of 1993, Israel took the most territory this time.

This information was informed in a report of The Guardian on Thursday (04 July).

According to a report by the anti-Israeli occupation watchdog, Israeli forces will gradually withdraw from Gaza and the West Bank. But in reality, Israel cares little about this agreement. Almost every year, the authorities of the country have been recognizing the land seized by Israel from the Palestinians as their own.

The Israeli rights organization Peace Now issued a statement on the approval of the new territory. It said the Israeli army’s Civil Administration Department, which deals with civilian issues in the West Bank, approved the new territory on June 25. However, the matter was not disclosed until yesterday.

Peace Now monitors the activities of illegal settlers in Israel. They condemned the renewed occupation of Palestinian territories. According to the organization, such actions by Israel are making the process of forming an independent Palestinian state more difficult.

According to the report, Israel recognized the lands as its own as a preliminary step in imposing control over the occupied Palestinian territories. Israel denies Palestinian ownership of land once it approves it.
