Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz has called on NATO to expel its member country Turkey from the military alliance. He made this call despite not being a NATO member country.
Israel Katz said that if Turkey is a member of the military alliance, there is a fear that international tension may increase.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday threatened Israel over the ongoing military operation of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in Gaza as well as escalating tensions with the Lebanon-based armed group Hezbollah.
“We have to be so strong that Israel cannot do whatever it wants with Palestine,” Erdogan said. At that time, he condemned Israeli actions in Gaza and compared the country’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with Adolf Hitler.
Al Jazeera reported that Israel is not a member of the International Military Alliance. Still, the kind attitude of the western countries towards the country shows a kind of power in the world.
