Kazi Fahad Elected as National President and Arefeen Raafi Ahmed as Deputy National President of JCI Bangladesh

Dhaka, December 6, 2024 – Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bangladesh has successfully concluded its National General Assembly at Le Meridien Hotel, Dhaka, marking a key moment in the organization’s leadership transition for 2025. The assembly, attended by Local Presidents and members of the National Governing Board, finalized the new Executive Board, with Kazi Fahad being elected as the National President and Arefeen Raafi Ahmed appointed as Deputy National President.
Kazi Fahad, a prominent entrepreneur and Managing Director of Kazi Printing & Accessories Ltd., takes the helm of JCI Bangladesh for the upcoming year. Fahad, also a Director of BGAPMEA, brings a wealth of experience and leadership expertise, positioning JCI Bangladesh to continue its growth and impact in fostering leadership among young professionals. His vision for 2025 focuses on driving innovation, strengthening community engagement, and advancing JCI’s global mission within Bangladesh.
Joining Fahad in leadership is Arefeen Raafi Ahmed, Managing Director of Pulse Tech Ltd. and Executive Director of Techno Drugs Ltd. With his extensive background in business development and startups, Ahmed is set to support JCI Bangladesh in achieving sustainable impact through strategic initiatives linked to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The election was overseen by 2024 Immediate Past National President (IPNP), Md. Ziaul Haque Bhuiyan, who served as the Election Commissioner. He was joined by election commissioners, Mr. Mosud Mannan, the Founding President of JCI Bangladesh, and Mr. Shakawat Hossain Mamun.
In his acceptance speech, Kazi Fahad pledged to build on the success of JCI Bangladesh’s exceptional performance in 2024, which saw the organization setting high standards of excellence on the global JCI platform. Fahad expressed his commitment to continuing this legacy, while pursuing new avenues for leadership development and community transformation. Arefeen Raafi Ahmed emphasized the need for long-term, sustainable change, underscoring the importance of aligning JCI’s local initiatives with global goals to improve lives and communities.
With the 2025 National Board now in place, JCI Bangladesh aims to accelerate its mission to inspire young leaders, create lasting social change, and provide opportunities for Bangladesh’s youth to thrive. JCI, a global, non-political organization, operates in 120 countries, empowering young people aged 18-40 to contribute positively to their communities. In Bangladesh, JCI works through 45 Local Organizations that drive innovation, leadership, and social impact.
As JCI Bangladesh enters a new chapter under Fahad and Ahmed’s leadership, the organization is poised to continue its momentum of excellence, collaboration, and empowerment.
