Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has thanked the countrymen for their unwavering support to the BJP and NDA alliance in the Lok Sabha elections that ended a few days ago. At the time, he requested his fans to remove the ‘Modi Ka Parivar’ slogan from their social media profiles.
In a report on Tuesday (June 11), India Today media reported this information.
In a message on microblogging site X, Modi said, “During the pre-election campaign, the people of India added ‘Modi Ka Parivar’ to my social media profile to show their love for me.
“I got a lot of strength from it. People of India have given majority to NDA for the third time in a row. This is a record. They have given us the opportunity to continue doing better for the betterment of the country,” said Modi.
Modi further said, “The message of us all being ‘one family’ has been conveyed effectively. I once again thank the people of India and request you to delete ‘Modi Ka Parivar’ from your social media now. Maybe write something else there; But our bond will remain strong.”
In March this year, Narendra Modi raised the slogan ‘Modi ka Parivar’ while addressing a rally in Adilabad, Telangana. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)’s Lalu Prasad Yadav told a rally that the Prime Minister has no family of his own. He gave that slogan in response.
After the Prime Minister’s announcement, people across the country added the slogan ‘Modi ka Parivar’ to their profiles, including top BJP leaders like Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP president JP Nadda.
