Israel’s opposition leader Yair Lapid has said that opposition forces may unite to remove Benjamin Netanyahu from power.

He said this on Monday (June 17) in a program conducted by Israel’s 103FM radio. Aljazeera news.

His comments came as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu dissolved his six-member wartime cabinet.

Lapid said at the event, “This government should be overthrown.”

He said, ‘Since Gantz has finally left the government, we also have options. Opposites will work together. We will unite without ego to topple the government.’

On the 9th of this month, important members of the Israeli cabinet and wartime ministers Benny Gantz and Gadi Eisenkot resigned.

Netanyahu’s far-right coalition partners push for new wartime cabinet; That could further strain relations with the United States and its allies.
