Palestinian writer Walid Dakka dies in Israeli custody

Walid Dakka, a Palestinian writer and rights activist imprisoned in Israel, has died. He was suffering from cancer. He died at Shamir Medical Center in Israel. He was imprisoned in Israel since 1986. Palestinian Commission of Detainee and Ex-Detainee Affairs.

According to the Palestinian Commission, Dakka died because of the policy of “slow killing”.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian independence organization Hamas raised questions about how Dakka died in an Israeli prison.

In a post on social media, the country’s Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gavir Ben Gvir, said that Dacca died of natural causes. It is not part of the death penalty process for terrorists. It was bound to happen.

Dakka was imprisoned in an Israeli prison for a long time. In 1986, he was arrested by the Israeli government for killing an Israeli soldier. Since then he was imprisoned.
