Saudi Arabia has given new conditions for Hajj visa

This year, the Saudi government is very strict in organizing Hajj. This time, the country’s administration has imposed new rules on Hajj visa.

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Affairs said that pilgrims participating in the Hajj in 2024 will be able to travel to the cities of Jeddah, Madinah and Makkah only with a Hajj visa.

The announcement emphasized that Hajj visas are not valid for any work, residence or travel outside the designated city in Saudi Arabia. Violators of these restrictions may not be permitted to participate in future Hajj. He may also be expelled from the country.

All international visitors wishing to perform Hajj outside the Gulf Cooperation Council countries must obtain a Hajj visa.

Hajj visa is valid for Hajj season only. The new rules prohibit those who have obtained Hajj visas from performing Umrah or any kind of financial or unpaid work during this period.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has launched electronic registration through the visa platform of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia has taken a novel initiative to identify legitimate and illegal pilgrims. The Hajj and Umrah Ministry of the country said that each person will be given a unique digital tag during this Hajj season to identify valid Hajj pilgrims. Basically, this initiative of the country is said to discourage illegal Hajj.

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Hajj Affairs, Tawfiq Al-Rabiyyah, this week launched a project to issue a digital Nusuk card to legitimate Hajj pilgrims in Indonesia. These cards will be issued to pilgrims traveling from Indonesia to Saudi Arabia.

This digital Nusuk card will store all the necessary information of the concerned pilgrim and this digital card must be displayed when entering the premises of the Holy Kaaba for Hajj. Apart from this, this digital card should be shown at various places during other Hajj rituals.

This card will be handed over to the foreign pilgrims by the respective Hajj office after issuing the visa for the Hajj pilgrims of the respective country and local Saudi pilgrims can collect this card from the respective government office of the country after issuing the Hajj permit.
