Netanyahu’s statement is irresponsible: Israel’s opposition leader

Ceasefire talks between Hamas and Israel have faded. There will be no more ceasefire. Israel has already distributed leaflets ordering Palestinians to withdraw from Rafah. Claiming that many Hamas fighters are stationed there, Israel has completed all preparations to launch the operation. Netanyahu is being criticized for not going to a ceasefire.
Israel’s opposition leader Yair Lapid said recent announcements, threats and irresponsible statements by government ministers and prime ministers about detainees must stop. Al-Jazeera news
In a post on X, he harshly criticized Netanyahu’s government, saying Israel should do everything to bring the prisoners back home.
Meanwhile, Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh blamed Netanyahu for thwarting efforts to reach a ceasefire.
An Israeli official and a senior Hamas official, Musa Abu Marzouk, both blamed the Israeli prime minister for stalling the current ceasefire talks, the New York Times reported.
However, Netanyahu’s office called the claim ‘completely false’.
