So the Meta-owned platform is rolling out features one after the other to improve the user experience. However, the platform does not take time to close the account if the rules are broken.

WhatsApp has such a system for the safety of users. This time WhatsApp closed 71 lakh accounts in India.

According to WhatsApp, between April 1 and April 30, bans have been issued on 71 lakh 82 thousand accounts. Out of which 13 lakh 2 thousand accounts were closed before any complaints were received from the users. These accounts have been closed earlier due to fear that objectionable situation may arise.

According to the company, this step has been taken keeping in mind the community standards of this platform and the protection of users in accordance with the Information Technology Act. The company also said that WhatsApp has received more than 10,500 complaints on various issues throughout the month of April.

Incidentally, the number of WhatsApp users in India is more than 500 million. So the fraud net is also spreading using this app. As a result, WhatsApp is closing accounts every month.
