The Election Commission of India has announced the final and official results of 543 seats of the 18th General Lok Sabha elections of India. It shows that like the last two times, the ruling party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has got the maximum number of 240 seats. However, they failed to win a single majority in the elections. On the other hand Indian National Congress got second highest 99 seats.

After the announcement of the results of all constituencies, it is seen that no party has got a single majority in this election.

However, Modi’s BJP-led alliance ‘NDA’ won 293 seats. On the other hand, the Congress-led alliance ‘India’ got 233 seats. Other parties got the remaining 17 seats.

Modi's coalition won again in India

The Lok Sabha elections started on April 19. Which is going on in seven stages till June 1 last. The polls that were conducted before the election had shown the BJP to win by a landslide. Besides, the booth return poll released after the polls ended on June 1 also said that Modi’s party alone would get 350 seats. And as a coalition they will win more than four hundred seats.

But all the results of the polls started to be proven wrong on Tuesday (June 4) morning when the votes were counted and the results started coming in. The published results show that the ‘India’ alliance of the Congress is doing incredible results. Where it was expected that the alliance would not get even 100 seats in total, they left this number by 200. Through this, the alliance basically stopped the ‘Modi wave’ in India.

In the last election, Modi’s alliance won a total of 353 seats. And BJP alone got 302 seats. From there this time they got about 60 seats less.
