The body of Hassan Nasrullah, the head of the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike, has been recovered. His body was recovered from the site of an Israeli airstrike in the southern suburbs of the capital, Beirut.
On Sunday, the news agency Reuters reported this information about medical and security sources.
The report also said that Nasrullah’s body is intact. Earlier, Hezbollah’s statement on Saturday confirmed Nasrullah’s death, but did not say exactly how he was killed.
Two sources related to the recovery of the body say that there are no direct wounds on his body. He is believed to have died of blunt trauma from the blast. Blunt trauma is an injury that does not show any major trauma to the outside of the body. But inside the body is damaged.
The Lebanese armed group confirmed the death of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah in an Israeli airstrike on Saturday. Israel launched a massive attack on Beirut on Friday evening. Nasrullah was killed in that attack.
Before that, the Israeli army claimed to have killed Hassan Nasrullah by airstrikes. The Israeli Air Force on Friday targeted Hezbollah’s headquarters in the southern suburbs of Lebanon. Tel Aviv claimed on Saturday that Hassan Nasrullah was killed.
Hezbollah did not immediately comment on the Israeli claim, but later confirmed the matter.
