Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant is visiting the United States amid rising tensions with the Gaza war and Hezbollah.

According to a report by Times of Israel, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin, CIA Director William Barnes, Special Envoy Amos Hochstein will meet Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant during this visit.

Gallant said in a statement ahead of his trip to the United States that the main focus of the meeting would be to discuss the start of the third phase of the Israeli offensive in Gaza. He emphasized that this campaign is very important.

Gallant said Israel’s relationship with the United States is more important than ever. The meeting with top US officials is crucial to the future of the war.

It should be noted that since the attack of Hamas on October 7, Israel has continued to carry out continuous air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip. Thousands of buildings including hospitals, schools, refugee camps, mosques, churches have been damaged or destroyed in this Israeli attack.
