At least 21,000 children have gone missing since Israel’s genocidal attack on Gaza began on October 7 last year, according to UK-based rights organization Save the Children. This matter was mentioned in a report of Al-Jazeera on Monday.

The rights group called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and an investigation into the missing children.

According to the agency, 21,000 children have been lost, disappeared, detained, buried under rubble or buried in mass graves as a result of Israel’s military operations in Gaza.

Khaled Kuzmar, director general of the children’s rights organization Defense for Children International Palestine, told Al-Jazeera that Gaza has shown unprecedented violence against children. It is a war against children. The children of Gaza have paid the ultimate price for the Israeli genocide in Gaza.

War crimes against children are being committed, he told Al-Jazeera from the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah. It is a crime against humanity. The Israeli army has systematically deprived children of their basic rights in Gaza and continues to do so.
