9 militants were killed in two separate military operations in Pakistan’s Khyber and Lakki Marwat districts. This information was revealed in a report of the newspaper The Dawn.

Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement that seven people, including militant commander Najib alias Abdur Rehman and militant leader Ishfaq alias Muawiya, were killed in an operation by security forces in Tirah region of Khyber.

Weapons, ammunition and explosives have been recovered from the victims. The deceased were reportedly involved in various militant activities in the area. Law enforcement forces were already looking for them.

The second operation was conducted in Lakki Marwat district, the statement added. Two militants were killed during the operation there.

The country’s security forces have said that such operations will continue to eliminate militants.
