9 people were buried under the ground in a landslide in Vietnam

At least nine people have been killed in landslides triggered by heavy rains in Vietnam. Six more people were injured in this incident. They have been admitted to a nearby hospital. Besides, search operation is going on to rescue the missing persons.

A van was buried under the ground during a landslide while passing through Bak Mae district in Ha Giang province at around 4 am local time, the country’s state media reported on Saturday. Nine people including a child died in this incident.

Several footage and videos from the scene showed rescuers working on muddy mountain roads. Several ambulances were also seen there. Ha Giang Province is a popular place for foreign tourists to travel by motorcycle.

There is a rainy season from June to November. During this time, floods and landslides often occur in northern Vietnam due to heavy rains.
