The Malaysian government has set a deadline of Friday (May 31) for those who have obtained work permit visas to enter Malaysia. Such rule is not only for Bangladesh, but also for the workers of 15 other source countries including Bangladesh.

As a result, recruiting firms have flown thousands of workers at the last minute. As a result, the number of foreign workers entering Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur International Airport has increased several times.

In a statement on Thursday (May 30), the country’s Immigration Department Director-General Datuk Ruslin Jusoh confirmed this information.

He said all foreign workers, including Bangladeshis, who have arrived at Malaysian airports will be allowed to enter their country after employer verification, health checks and various reviews.

Generally, 500 to 1,000 foreign workers enter Malaysia every day. But recently it has been seen that this number has reached from 2500 to 4500.

This number is expected to increase on Friday (May 31). Because foreign airlines have increased the number of flights to Malaysia.

Meanwhile, Director General Ruslin Jusoh said that necessary measures will be taken so that foreign workers do not suffer any kind of suffering when they come to Malaysia.

Adequate food and beverage facilities are provided at the airport for the staff. The government has sought cooperation from local recruitment agencies to hire workers on proper presentation of documents.
