At least 1,300 people, including women and children, have been killed in Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon.
Lebanon’s Ministry of Health reported that 275 people were killed and 1,024 injured in Monday’s attack. Among them are a large number of women, children and relief workers.
Local sources said Israeli warplanes bombed various towns and villages in southern Lebanon’s Tire and Nabatieh areas, including Hermel, Jaboud and Harbata in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley, on Monday morning.
Al-Jazeera reported that huge clouds of smoke were seen in the skies over Jaboud and Nabatieh after the attack, which was clearly seen in footage circulating on social media.
The attack on more than 300 installations across southern Lebanon has caused extensive damage and is expected to result in more casualties.
