China made a chatbot about Xi Jinping

Recently, there is a new chatbot based on Chinese President Xi Jinping. It has even been trained using the ‘thinking’ of a Chinese leader.

In this, ‘thought’ means his words. The researchers did not use any new ‘mind-reading’ technology.

Chinese officials have only used some of Xi’s books and research papers to train AI chatbots. His political ideology is collectively known as ‘Xi Jinping Thoughts on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era’ or simply ‘Xi Jinping Thought’.

The new technology is not yet available for everyone. It is currently being used in a research center under China’s cyber security agency CAC. But gradually it is likely to be introduced on a wider scale.
