Israeli occupation forces are carrying out barbaric attacks in Gaza. Innocent children are also being spared from the hands of the country’s soldiers. And although Israel was criticized in the outside world, it was supported in its own country. However, this time, the country’s former Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon opened up about this barbarity of Israel.
On Saturday, he accused the Israeli army of ethnic cleansing in Gaza. Which has sparked widespread discussion in the country.
In an interview with the private Democrat TV channel, Yaalon said, “The path we are being led on is conquest, annexation and ethnic cleansing.”
Emphasizing on the issue of ‘ethnic cleansing’, he also said, “What is happening there? There is no more Beit Lahiya, there is no more Beit Hanoun, the army is intervening in Jabaliya and clearing the land of Arabs.’
Former Defense Minister Yaalon (74) was the head of the Israeli army between 2002-2005 before Israel’s withdrawal from Gaza. He later resigned in 2016 due to disagreements with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Before that, Yaalon served as Defense Minister and Deputy Prime Minister.
It is worth noting that Israel has been wreaking havoc in Palestine since the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7. As a result, Israel has killed 44,382 people in Gaza compared to 1,200 people in Israel.
