West Bengal musician Kabir Suman has always been vocal about the situation in Bangladesh. He writes on Facebook on various issues in Bangladesh.

While discussing a poem by West Bengal poet, lyricist and producer Srijat Banerjee, Suman wrote on Facebook without naming anyone, ‘When Felani was hanging from the barbed wire fence of the border, who was being insulted?’

Although he did not name anyone, many people think that he wrote it mainly aimed at Srijat. Many followers wrote it in the comment section of the post.

Another Facebook post of Suman was in discussion. In that post, he wrote, ‘Large countries think that they are the guardians of their small neighboring countries. The United States thinks that it is the elder brother of Cuba and Haiti. It thinks that Puerto Rico is a big state. India thinks that it is the elder brother of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal. ’

‘You will die fighting over religion and politics. I am in love, I will continue to love. ’ Sumon wrote this in another post.

Sumon wrote a song about the anti-discrimination movement in Bangladesh after the fall of Sheikh Hasina’s government on August 5. Some lines of the song are, ‘This is the light of liberation, Bangladesh has lit it, this struggle is the song of liberation’. Later, he posted a video on Facebook and sang the song.
