The path of talks between the country’s government and Imran Khan’s party PTI has progressed a little further to end the recent political unrest in Pakistan.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Sunday formed a high-level committee as an important political step. Senior members of the ruling coalition government’s partner parties in the committee will start discussions with PTI.

PTI had earlier threatened a mass non-cooperation movement against the government. It is mainly in that context that the government has taken the initiative to discuss to end the political unrest.

In this context, PTI has also formed a discussion committee on their behalf. And through this, they have realized that it is not possible to continue the policy of confrontation.

It is learned that the ruling coalition’s committee includes Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Rana Sanaullah, Senator Irfan Siddiqui, Raja Pervez Ashraf, Nabid Qamar, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Abdul Alim Khan and Chaudhry Salik Hussain are included.

The committee was formed on the recommendation of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Speaker of the National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq.

Praising Speaker Ayaz Sadiq’s efforts today, the Prime Minister expressed hope that national security and interests will be given priority during the talks.

Shahbaz Sharif said, “Our existence is basically dependent on the existence of Pakistan.”

Earlier on Saturday, Speaker Ayaz Sadiq confirmed that he had contacted the Prime Minister and requested the formation of a committee for talks. Preparations for starting these talks were mainly due to the PTI’s crisis of confidence in the government.

Meanwhile, PTI leader Gohar Khan appeared in court on Saturday and told reporters, “There will be talks. Because this is the only solution. Otherwise, a mass non-cooperation movement will start.”

However, Shahbaz Sharif’s government said that the talks will not proceed amid the threat of a mass non-cooperation movement.
