The flagship airline Emirates has managed to resume regular flight schedule in the important city of Dubai following heavy rains and floods in the UAE.
In an open letter to airline passengers, Emirates President Sir Tim Clark said, “Our regular flight schedule will resume as usual from this Saturday morning (April 20). Passengers previously stranded at the airport transit area have been rebooked and are on their way to their destination.
The clerk said ‘it will take us a few more days to clear the backlog of rebooked passengers and bags,’ and we urge our customers to be patient and understand the situation.
Meanwhile, the continuous efforts of passport officials at Dubai’s air, land and sea ports have allowed the departure of passengers stranded due to heavy rains from April 15 to 17.
The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) said that the Directorate, under the direct supervision of GDRFA Dubai Director Lt. Gen. Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, has been able to overcome all obstacles in the process of arrival and departure of 419,047 passengers in Dubai.
