Eid holiday in Saudi Arabia for 6 consecutive days

Saudi Arabia announced the holy Eid-ul-Fitr holiday. Citizens of the country can spend a total of 6 days off including two days a week. This holiday will start from April 8 (Monday). The news is from Gulf News.

As per announcement, Eid holiday is from April 8 (Monday) to April 11 (Thursday). But since the next two days are closed, the citizens of the country will get six consecutive days off.

On March 10, the moon of the holy month of Ramadan was seen in the sky of Saudi Arabia. So March 11 was the first day of Ramadan in the country.

According to the Islamic calendar, Ramadan is the ninth month. During this month Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset.

Meanwhile, on March 17, Gulf News reported that in 2024, the holy Eid-ul-Fitr can be read on Wednesday, April 10. According to Ibrahim Al Jarwan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirati Astronomy Society, the first day of the month of Shawwal may fall on April 10. This means, Muslims will observe 30 fasts this time.

On the day of Eid, Muslims gather for a special prayer, known as Salat al-Eid. This Salat al-Eid is held in mosques, open fields or large congregations.
