The United Arab Emirates has strongly criticized Khaldar Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan wrote on social media X that the Israeli Prime Minister does not have the legal authority to take this initiative. The UAE will not be involved in any plan to cover up the Israeli presence in Gaza. British news agency Reuters reported this news.

He said the Emirates is ready to support a Palestinian government that embodies the hopes and aspirations of the Palestinian people. This includes the independence of Palestine.

In an interview last week, Netanyahu said the Emirates, Saudi Arabia and other countries could support a civilian government to run Gaza after the war.

The country drew criticism on Saturday (11 May) after Netanyahu made comments about the Gulf state’s possible role in Gaza’s future government after the war.

One of the influential countries in the Middle East that has established diplomatic relations with Israel is the Emirates. This relationship continues even though the Israeli occupation of Gaza has been going on for almost seven months. However, there are indications that it is cracking.

Key members of Netanyahu’s cabinet have rejected the idea of an independent Palestinian state. The Israeli Prime Minister has been saying that Israel will control the security of Gaza even after the war.

Palestinians want an independent state in the occupied West Bank and Gaza. It is supported by the United Arab Emirates.

According to the report, the military operation in Gaza has caused a rift in the Emirati’s relationship with Netanyahu. Emirati officials rarely speak to him now.

The UAE has criticized Israel over the war and civilian death toll. It insists, however, that having diplomatic ties with Israel has helped aid reach the Gaza Strip.
