Emirates gives good news about residency visa

The United Arab Emirates is introducing a 5-year residency visa for expatriates aged 55 and above.
According to a report by Gulf News, a government order published on Friday stated that expatriates aged 55 and above can now apply for residency visas in the United Arab Emirates. In addition, those who have completed 55 years of age before, can apply for residency visas under the new rules even if they have been in the country before.
The conditions for expatriates applying under the new rules state that they must have at least 15 years of work experience. In addition, the applicant must have assets of at least 1 million dirhams or a monthly income of 20 thousand dirhams (15 thousand dirhams per month for Dubai). Applicants will have to submit bank statements for the last 6 months.
This visa will be valid for 5 years and after 5 years, if the conditions are met, the applicant can renew the visa again. The application for the visa can be made through the official website of the United Arab Emirates or the ICP Smart Application.
Additionally, the UAE has launched a special program for retired foreign nationals. In this program, retirees, their spouses and dependents can obtain a renewable residency visa for 5 years. Applicants for this program must be at least 55 years old, have a financial qualification of 15,000 dirhams per month or a bank account deposit of 1 million dirhams.
