Emirates President mourns Raisi’s death

The President of the Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is expressing his grief over the death of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdullahian and their travel companions.

In a condolence message on X account, he said, “I express my deepest condolences to the government and people of Iran for the death of the president, foreign minister and those who were with them in a tragic accident in Iran.” We pray that Allah will grant them eternal rest and we offer our heartfelt condolences to their families. UAE stands in solidarity with Iran in this difficult time.

It should be noted that President Ibrahim Raisi inaugurated two dams near the border of Azerbaijan on Sunday. After that, he was going to the city of Tabriz in the north-west of Iran by helicopter.

In addition to Foreign Minister Amir Abdullahian, there were also representatives of the religious leader (Khameni) and Imam of Tabriz Seyed Mohammad Al Hashem, Governor of East Azerbaijan Malik Rahmati, Commander of the Presidential Protection Unit Sardar Seyed Mehdi Mousavi, some security guards and crew.
