Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu plans to fire his Defense Minister Yoav Galant this time. The international media have reported that he is going to implement this plan after the conflict over the Gaza war intensified.

Turkey’s state news agency Anadolu reported that Netanyahu wants to carry out larger-scale military operations in Gaza and southern Lebanon; But Yoav Gallant has been opposing him.

Israel’s state television channel KAN reported on Monday, citing sources familiar with the matter, that talks were underway between Netanyahu’s office and the leader of the right-wing New Hope party, Gideon Saar, to remove Galant.

An announcement may be imminent, KAN said. Following the report, far-right minister Itamar Benghavi wrote on social media X that he had been calling for Gallant’s ouster for months and it was time to do it quickly.

He also said, we must fix the situation in the north and Gallant is not the right person to lead this campaign.
