Fires have spread to several villages in southeastern Turkey. At least 5 people have died. Several people were injured.
Turkey’s health minister said that 10 of the injured are in serious condition. The country’s Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said on Friday that the fire broke out late Thursday in an area 30 kilometers south of Diabakir province.
Due to strong winds, it quickly spread to five villages and took the form of wildfire. Unfortunately, 3 people from Diabaki province and 2 people from Mardin lost their lives.
