Myanmar’s Information Management Unit, analyzing satellite images conducted in cooperation with the United Nations, said around 162 square kilometers around the capital Naypyidaw were flooded. Besides, 366 square kilometers area of ​​Mandalay city was also flooded. Myanmar’s fire department said rescue workers rescued residents including women and children trapped on roofs by boat from 30 areas in Nay Pyi Taw region as of Thursday night.

Typhoon Yagi hit China and Vietnam last week. It is considered to be the strongest typhoon in the last thirty years. Vietnam was hit the hardest by Typhoon Yagi. Due to its effect, floods have also occurred in Thailand.
