Gaza death toll climbs above 56,000, health ministry says

After 79 killed Palestinians were brought to Gaza hospitals over the past 24 hours and the death toll from Israeli attacks on the enclave since the start of the war has risen to 56,077, reports Al Jazeera.
The number of those wounded has also increased to 131,848 people, according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health.
Since Israel violated the Gaza ceasefire in mid-March, it has killed at least 5,759 Palestinians and wounded 19,807 others.
