Hamas wants an agreement to end the war, but not surrender

A senior leader of the Palestinian independence movement Hamas said his organization is right to seek an agreement aimed at establishing a ceasefire in Gaza; But Hamas will not give in to US pressure.

This leader named Sami Abu Zuhri said in a press release on Sunday that his organization has received a proposal sent by the Zionist Israel through intermediaries and is reviewing it.

He said, “We are reviewing the proposals received from the occupants, but we will be late in replying in this regard.”

Hamas leader Zuhri said that the resistance movement will not accept any agreement that does not stop the aggression of the Israeli occupation on the Gaza Strip.

He also said, “We have informed Egypt and Qatar that we want to reach an agreement; But in this case, the US pressure is not of any value to us.

A day before, the deputy head of Hamas, Khalil al-Hayya, said that they had received an Israeli proposal on the cessation of hostilities and the release of hostages in Gaza through the mediators of Egypt and Qatar.
