In response to Israeli airstrikes on villages and towns in southern Lebanon, Hezbollah launched rocket and missile attacks on various military installations in northern Israel.
In a brief statement on Thursday, the armed group said its fighters fired a barrage of Katyusha rockets at two military bases in Israel’s Manat Moshav and the Western Galilee region. These rockets were launched targeting the iron dome batteries of those bases as well as the gunnery bunkers.
According to the statement, the rocket attack was carried out in response to the Israeli air attack on the village of Doweir in southern Lebanon.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah launched a heavy-caliber Burkan missile attack on the “Zarit” barracks known as the headquarters of the Israeli army’s western battalion. These missiles were launched in response to the aggressive attack of the Zionist forces in the city of “Majdal Jun” in southern Lebanon.
Besides, Hizbullah has also fired Burkan missiles at the northern ‘Biranit’ barracks of Israel. The barracks were heavily damaged in the attack and a large fire broke out. The missile attack was carried out in revenge for the Israeli air attack on the village of Aitarun in southern Lebanon.
Lebanon’s Hezbollah has launched operations in northern Israel in solidarity with Gazans since Israel’s invasion of the Gaza Strip in October last year. Since then, Hezbollah’s attacks have caused heavy losses to the occupation forces in northern Israel.
