Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has expressed his desire to make his country a bigger nation than India.

He expressed this hope while addressing a large public meeting in the country’s Dera Ghazi Khan on Sunday.

Vowing to make unremitting efforts to achieve the goal, the prime minister said, “We will leave India behind one day or another. And if we cannot do that, my name is not Shahbaz Sharif either. We will work day and night to make Pakistan a great nation and go ahead of India.”

He reiterated his commitment to addressing Pakistan’s economic and social challenges through proactive governance and reforms. Shahbaz said his government is working towards economic stability, with the aim of reducing Pakistan’s dependence on foreign debt.

“We will no longer depend on debt. Under my leadership, Pakistan will stand on its own two feet by building a self-reliant economy.”
