The number of casualties continues to rise in Israeli attacks in Deir el-Balah, occupied Gaza. The procession of corpses is so long that morgues are overflowing and hospitals are straining.
A medical source in the city confirmed the information to Al Jazeera on Wednesday.
Gaza’s health ministry said 36 people were killed and 115 injured across the valley in the last 24 hours.
The Israeli army said its ground forces had reached Burez refugee camp in Deir el-Balah, central Gaza. On the other hand, their warplanes and artillery fleet made the area a target.
Meanwhile, Hamas says it cannot agree to any deal unless Israel makes a “clear” commitment to a permanent ceasefire and the complete withdrawal of its troops from Gaza. Because Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has reiterated that the war will continue until the group is “eliminated”.
36 thousand 586 Palestinians have been killed and 83 thousand 74 injured in Israel’s ongoing war in Gaza since October 7.
On the contrary, the number of dead in Israel by Hamas attack is at least 1 thousand 139 people. In addition, dozens of Israeli citizens are still imprisoned by Hamas in Gaza.
