The United States has signed a $3 billion deal to buy a third squadron of 25 advanced F-35 stealth fighter jets built by Israel’s Lockheed Martin. Israel will receive it in 2028.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant confirmed this information in a statement announcing the deal on Tuesday.

“The United States and Israel signed this agreement at a time when some of our adversaries have made great efforts to undermine our relationship with our greatest ally,” he said. We only strengthened our relationship.

Israel’s Defense Minister said, this agreement is a warning message to our enemies in the world.

He also said that as a result of this agreement, the number of F-35s in Israel’s arsenal will reach 75.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Defense of Israel, the delivery of aircraft to the IDF (Army) will begin in 2028. The US will provide three to five aircraft per year.

Israel is the only country in the Middle East that has the F-35 fighter jet, the world’s most advanced fighter capable of stealth and intelligence gathering, delivering heavy strikes into enemy territory.

In May 2018, Israel’s military said it had become the first country to use the F-35 in combat.
