The Lebanese armed group Hezbollah attacked various important and sensitive targets in the northern part of Israel with rockets and drones.
In a statement released on Sunday, Hezbollah said the operation was carried out early this morning “as part of an initial response” to the killing of its senior military commander Fuad Shukur.
Hezbollah’s statement said it carried out drone strikes and 320 Katyusha rockets at Israel’s Ramot Naftali barracks, Neveh Ziv and Zoura artillery positions, as well as the Meron, Jatun, Sahel and Ein Zeitim bases.
Israeli local media reported that Hezbollah targeted an Israeli warship called “Dafora” in the occupied territory on Sunday morning.
The Times of Israel reported that an Israeli soldier on the ship was killed and several wounded in the Hezbollah attack.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah said, “Our military operation is complete and complete for today.”
It should be noted that Hezbollah commander Fouad Shukur was killed in an Israeli attack in South Lebanon on July 30.
