Warlord Israel has already announced its position on ceasefire and prisoner exchange talks in besieged Gaza. This time, the Netanyahu administration has decided to increase the ongoing aggression in the Gaza Strip.
This is what the Israeli media outlet Walla said in a report on Sunday.
Citing unnamed political sources, Walla said the country’s security cabinet recently ordered the military to intensify its operations in Gaza to strengthen Israel’s position in the ceasefire talks.
According to Israeli media, the move coincided with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken’s visit to Israel. Israeli security officials expect him to exert significant pressure on Tel Aviv to reach an agreement with Hamas.
Over the past few months, the United States, Qatar and Egypt have been trying to reach an agreement between Israel and Hamas to ensure a cease-fire and prisoner exchange in Gaza, and to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza.
But mediation efforts have stalled after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refused to meet Hamas’ demands for a ceasefire.
Earlier, a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire was passed. In violation of that resolution, Israel continues its brutal attacks and massacres in Gaza. Despite international condemnation, the country is not stopping the war.
According to local health authorities, 40,139 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since October 7 last year due to continuous attacks by barbaric Israeli forces. Most of them are women and children. In addition, about 93,000 Palestinians were injured.
More than 10 months into the Israeli offensive, large swaths of Gaza lie in ruins, with food, clean water and medicine under siege. More than two million Palestinians have been displaced.
The International Court of Justice has accused Israel of killing women and children for genocide. which ordered him to immediately stop his military operations in the city of Rafah.
