Iran’s President Massoud Pezeshkian warned that if Israel makes the “slightest mistake” Tehran will surely respond more “strongly and harshly”.

He made this comment in a high-level meeting in Qatar on Wednesday. The meeting was held a day after Iran launched its retaliatory operation ‘Operation True Promise-II’.

Pezeshkian sharply criticized Western countries, saying they had promised Iran to refrain from retaliating against Israel. They never kept the promise they made to end the war in Gaza.

He also noted that the continued criminal activities of Israel forced the Iranian armed forces to respond decisively.

The Iranian president then accused the US and Western countries of hypocrisy for supporting Israel. He claimed that these countries talk about human rights but actually support Israel’s crimes.

He also emphasized the need for unity among Muslim countries and said that this lack of unity has given Israel the courage to commit crimes.

Earlier on Tuesday night, Iran launched a missile attack on Israeli military and intelligence bases. As a result, explosions were heard and direct hits were reported in Tel Aviv and Al-Quds.

Iran claimed that the attack was in retaliation for the killing of former Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and Iranian Brigadier General Abbas Nilforoushan.
