The Palestinians will continue to fight for their rights, a spokesman for the Gaza Strip’s pro-independence Hamas movement said in an interview with Qatar-based Al Jazeera.
Hamas spokesman Osama Hamdan said, “The Palestinians are determined to secure their rights and will not give up on this decades-long effort.”
“If the international community delivers this to them, then great. If not, they will continue to resist,” he said.
“After 15 months of Israeli aggression, it is clear that you cannot defeat the Palestinian people. This nation has been fighting for its legitimate rights for more than 75 years.” We will not give up.’
Incidentally, more than 61,000 Palestinians have been killed in the Israeli aggression that has been going on for 15 months since October 7, 2023. Most of the dead are women and children. And the number of injured during this long period has exceeded 100,000.
In November last year, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
A ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement in Gaza has been in effect since January 19, mediated by Egypt, Qatar, and the United States.
