At least 11 people were killed in a rocket attack on a soccer field in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. Besides, several people were injured.
The British media BBC reported this information in a report about the Israeli media on Saturday.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said a rocket hit the territory’s Majdal Shams area.
The IDF blamed Hezbollah for the attack, but the Lebanese armed group’s spokesman, Mohammad Afif Majdal Shams, denied any involvement in the incident. Mohammad Afif said, “All the allegations are false.”
“We are facing all-out war,” said Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz.
The attack came after four members of the armed group were killed in an Israeli attack in Lebanon. In response to the Israeli attack, Hezbollah fired rockets into Israel, but Majdal Shams denied any involvement in the rocket attack.
Majdal Shams is one of four villages in the Golan Heights, home to about 25,000 Druze people.
They were offered Israeli citizenship when Syria annexed the Golan Heights in 1981. But then they returned it. As a result, they can study and work in Israel, but cannot vote.
