This year’s holy Hajj ceremony is over. In the meantime, pilgrims from different countries of the world have started returning to their respective countries on return flights. Saudi authorities have called for ‘reasonable’ shopping by these pilgrims.

Gulf News reported this information in a report on Monday (June 24).

According to the report, the foreign pilgrims are planning to leave Saudi Arabia after completing the holy Hajj ceremony. Saudi authorities have advised departing pilgrims to make “reasonable” purchases to comply with the permitted baggage weight on their return flight.

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj also announced guidelines on shopping and urged pilgrims to follow them.

Saudi Ministry of Hajj said on social media X (formerly Twitter) to departing Hajj pilgrims, after completing Hajj rituals, you can buy souvenirs as a memory of this journey.

The ministry also said that there are shops in Makkah and Madinah where pilgrims can shop for various items.

It is also said that you should understand the receipt after the purchase. But remember, the weight of purchased items and gifts should not exceed the specified amount.

Meanwhile, authorities at King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah, known as the hub for Hajj flights, have advised departing pilgrims to order packets of Zamzam water from designated sales points at the airport.
